Powwowers, time to get the double-sided sticky tape out

Back in March we marked the evolution of the business from being a SIPP provider to a fully fledged platform for retirement wealth planning by paying homage to a kids’ game that has been around as long as we have. As our business has evolved, we made the theme of the game the evolution of everyday items from 1979 to present day, catchy eh?

In honour of our first ever Paraplanner Powwow, we decided to resurrect the game and give the fine Paraplanner folk attending the Powwow the chance to win a bumper box of retro sweets.

If you fancy being in with a chance to (pow)wow your colleagues with a serious stash of sugar in various forms then all you need to do is this: Have a rifle through the deck of cards in your brown paper bag and dig out the blank one. Come up with a category for an item you feel has evolved from 1979 to present day and write it in the empty box in the top left left hand corner. Assign whatever values you like from 0-100 to the five different categories in the boxes down the right hand side.

What to do next: Take a picture of your creation and post it here in the comments section, or tweet it to @JHPartnership or alternatively email it to Sam in the Comms team (samantha.prince@jameshay.co.uk).

Make sure you get your masterpieces in to us by the 26 September 1st October to be entered into the prize draw. The entries will be judged on the purely subjective and totally unscientific basis of artistic effort and the crikey-we-wish-we’d-thought-of-that-one factor. The winner will be announced on the 3 October on Twitter.

How to enter the prize draw (the rules – such as they are):

1. There can be as many entries as you feel like submitting.
2. In order to qualify for the prize all entries must use the blank card provided in the pack and be photographed/scanned then posted onto the James Hay Partnership blog, tweeted to @JHPartnership or emailed to Samantha.prince@jameshay.co.uk, no later than 26th September 1st October 2014.
3. The winning entry will be announced via our blog and Twitter (from the @JHPartnership account) on 3 October 2014, at which point the lucky winner needs to tell us the address they want the sweets to be sent to. There are no cash alternatives.
4. Judging will be based on artistic effort and creativity of category. All entries will be sent to Chris Smeaton at James Hay Partnership to be judged independently.
